He is married to Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif, and has children named Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz, and Hassan Nawaz. His brother Shahbaz Sharif is also well known in the political essence. Mian Nawaz Sharif served the country for two consecutive terms as a Prime Minister of Pakistan from November 1990 to July 1993, and from February 1997 until October 1999, When he was ousted by the chief of army staff then General Pervaiz Musharraf who became the chief executive of Pakistan.
